Night Riviera Sleeper

The Night Riviera Sleeper is Great Western's over night train service to Penzance from Central London.

I've never been on a “sleeper”, but I really like the idea of getting the train from Paddington at midnight after a night out and and waking up in Penzance for breakfast.

There was talk of stopping this service a couple of years ago, thankfully that's not happened yet.

I took the sleeper last night (10 Feb 2009) from London to Penzance. It was fantastic! Extremely courteous and friendly staff; spotlessly clean, comfortable air-conditioned bedroom; TV in my bedroom; breakfast in bed…
What more could you want! Plus the whole cost (journey plus accommodation) was the same amount as if I'd travelled 2nd class during the day.
