  • Gorillaz Go Bananaz

A film about the real people behind the animated Gorillaz pop band is set for release later this year. There second album was a classic, and more serious than their cartoon personas would have you believe.  Be interesting to see how they got Dennis Hopper on board for the narration of  “Fire Coming Out of […]

  • There, there my dear

One of Dexys best songs… heard tonight and thought I'd find the video for it…  Time for a come back for donkey jackets and woolly skull caps I think.

  • Miss Sarajevo – Passangers featuring Pavarotti

The passing of the big man yesterday reminded me this beautiful pop song.

  • Tomorrow – Morrissey

Today's Buzzfeed on single take videos, made me think of the video of Tomorrow by Morrissey. However watching it back I see it's not just one take – but there's one very long take of Morrissey and the band ambling around the streets when the song gets going..

  • Rio – Michael Nesmith

Reminded of this song last weekend when I finally managed to get a copy on vinyl. I've been looking for this for about twenty years, it's supposedly quite rare, so happily surprised to find it for just £1 in Music & Video Exchange in Camden. It's on of my dad's favorites too, but not sure […]

  • Friends on TV

Funny weekend, two friends of mine were on TV. Firstly my friend Cecilia Fage was on TV on Saturday, singing in Rod (“the mod”) Stewart's backing band at the Princess Diana memorial concert. Cecilia Fage (far left) with Rod Stewart Update, found YouTube clip of “Rod & Cecilia” here Secondly Jason Broadstock (a mutual friend […]

  • Pass This On – The Knife

A stand out track from The Knife's second album. I imagine some parts of Sweden are like this, but (thankfully) I've yet to see them.
